Whale Tale Tour

Swimming with Sharks

This educational tour explores the effects of plastics in our ocean and its majestic creatures. You will snorkel in one of the most pristine ecosystems that is loaded with aquatic life and tropical fish, so much so that it is referred to as “The Sea Aquarium”.

Activities Include: Snorkeling The Sea Aquarium and sunken plane, Visiting Warderick Wells and The Whale Skeleton, Relaxing on Lil Norman’s sand bar and enjoying lunch at Mc Duffs Restaurant on Norman’s Cay

The Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park

The 176-square-mile Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, created in 1958, was the first land and sea park in the world and is one of the most successful marine parks. It is the first “no-take reserve” (all fishing is prohibited) in the wider Caribbean. This stretch of pristine water, land and beaches is an ecological preserve and wildlife refuge famous for its breath-taking marine environment.

The Sea Aquarium

The sea aquarium is sort of a natural exotic gathering of colorful fish and so many in fact that it looks like a staged aquarium from the inside. Here you will snorkel with many different species of fish including yellowtail snapper, grouper, sergeant majors, bar jacks and many many more. There is also an impressive array of coral life that creates the small reef you will be snorkeling on.

The Sunken Plane

Located just a few hundred feet from the Sea Aquarium is the Sunken Plane, here you can dive down and visit an underwater crash site of a small passenger plane that is loaded with fish and corals surrounding it! This is one of many different aircraft that have crash landed in the Exuma Cays.

Warderick Wells & The Whale Skeleton

Warderick Wells is the base for the headquarters of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, there is a small gift shop you may purchase shirts from and give donations to the park for conservation purposes. Here we will see what plastics can do to our marine life as we take a look at the skeleton of a 53ft sperm whale that died from eating a plastic bag!

Lil Normans and Normans

Lil Normans has a beautiful sandbar that we will park the boat and enjoy some of the crystal blue Bahamian waters. After relaxing for some time we will hop on over to Normans Cay and eat lunch at one of the best restaurants in the Exuma Cays, Mc Duffs.
