Swim With Pigs: In the middle of paradise, with billionaires and celebrities for neighbors, is an island populated only by swimming pigs. For decades, this archipelago of 365 islands would remain largely unknown to the world. It would not be a ruthless pirate, pioneering loyalists, a notorious drug kingpin, or the infamous Fyre Festival that would unveil Exuma to the world, but rather the most unlikely of creatures. Appearing in magazines, videos, newspapers, commercials, TV shows, and countless selfies, the Swimming Pigs of Exuma, in the Bahamas, have become a bucket-list sensation and have been named one of the marvels of the universe.

Island Hopping:

Little Farmers Cay: Little Farmer’s Cay is also home to abundant wildlife, including exotic birds, sea turtles, dolphins, sharks, and tropical fish. Deep-sea caves and coral reefs are nearby for world-class diving and snorkeling. Little Farmer’s is located on the banks’ side of the southern Exuma Cays just 20 nm south of  Staniel Cay.

Compass Cay: Compass Cay is an island in The Bahamas, located in the Exuma district. The island, notable for its naturally-protected harbor, has been outfitted with a beach lodge and a marina. The island also has a famed population of docile nurse sharks. The nurse sharks in the marina have become a popular tourist attraction, bringing in visitors from as far as the island of Nassau. The marina has a small shop with trinkets and snacks. It is also developing a restaurant. There is a large maze of mangroves that lead out from the marina. Walking throughout the island, you can find a beach and a “landing strip,” a long patch of sand only visible at low tide

Bitter Guana Cay: Bitter Guana Cay is an island in the Exuma Cays, Bahamas. This is one of the few places in the Exumas, where endangered iguanas and tropicbirds are nesting in the cliffs to the south. 

Big Majors Cay: Pig Beach (also known as Pig Island, Major Cay, and officially Big Major Cay is an uninhabited island (or cay) located in Exuma, the Bahamas. The island takes its unofficial name from the fact that it is populated by a colony of feral pigs that live on the island and in the surrounding shallows. The pigs are regularly fed by those who go out to visit them,  where boats are available, and all the regulars direct visitors to the pigs because they never cease to amaze.

Pipe Creek Area: A maze of shallow channels that run through a vast area of breathtakingly beautiful tidal flats (that hold quite a few bonefish) just south of Compass Cay. Get ready to fall in love with this area!

Musha Cay:  It is owned by illusionist David Copperfield. Musha Cay is surrounded by three smaller islands that maintain its guests’ privacy. There is a sunken piano and an incredible sand bar to explore.

Black Point: The small town at Black Point Settlement sits on a wide bight facing west over the vast banks stretching to the Tongue of the Ocean.

Sandy Cay: This little cay is the perfect place to swim and picnic. Once there you will not want to leave!

Sampson Cay:  The Exuma Cays are long known for world-class fishing, diving and sailing, and cruising. Staniel Cay is located just a few miles south of Sampson Cay .

 

Swim With and Feed The Turtles: Little Farmer’s Cay is also home to abundant wildlife, including exotic birds, sea turtles, dolphins, sharks and tropical fish.

 

Visit The Iguanas:  Visit,The Exuma Island Iguana is a critically endangered subspecies of northern Bahamian rock iguana that is found on the Exuma island chain in the Bahamas with a wild population of 1,300 animals, it is listed on the IUCN Red List. Iguanas of  Bitter Guana Cay is a must stop to visit with amazing coral rock formations that hand over a picture-perfect little sandy beach.
